Grind Process

Skis should arrive clean of glide and kick wax!  Feel free to leave bindings on the skis.  Work starts immediately.  Bases need to be flat (or pretty close to it) and a steel scraper or a few runs through the stone grinder on a work program will make this happen.  A steel scraper is a great tool and an easy way to see the ski and generally removes most surface damage, old structure, etc.  Now that we have a good working surface whether from the scraper or machine the work begins.  The stone is dressed to polish and smooth the base material.  Once the ski is polished with a flat stone it is ready to accept the final desired base structure.  The stone is dressed one final time (generally) with the final desired base structure.  Skis are continuously cleaned and cooled during the process.
